Quake's
Impact
:
Haiti's
January
earthquake
shattered
the
already
dismal
life,
and
their
challenges
will
continue
long
after
the
reporters
go
home.
Millions
once
lived
in
the
now
unlivable
Port
au
Prince
and
are
moving
by
the
thousands
back
to
the
countryside.
Although
this
is
seen
as
a
good
trend,
the
small
and
rural
communities
will
have
great
difficulty
absorbing
the
influx. |

|
Our
Goals
:
Long-term
commitment
to
the
Haitian
economy
[by
supporting
coffee
farmers]
and
long-term
commitment
to
sustainable
living
through
vegetable
gardens.
We
are
asking
Wisconsin
based
businesses
to
donate
gardening
supplies
and
equipment.
We
will
use
our
fundraiser
to
collect
monetary
donations
to
ship
and
distribute
the
goods
to
Haiti. |
